The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has expressed condolences to Governor Dapo Abiodun and the family of the late Nigeria’s first female cabinet minister, Adenike Oyagbola.
The party highlighted the iconic trailblazer’s dedicated and
meritorious service to the nation, noting that she laid a solid foundation for
economic planning and the country’s prosperity.
Oyagbola, a respected educationist and diplomat, passed away
on Friday at the age of 94. The party described her as a pioneer for women's
empowerment and a committed public servant who served the nation with
distinction.

This tribute was issued in a statement signed by the party's
Publicity Secretary, Tunde Oladunjoye, and shared with DAILY POST on
Sunday in Abeokuta.
The APC emphasized that Oyagbola, who served as the Minister
of National Planning from 1979 to 1983, left a lasting impact with her
remarkable contributions.
The statement read: “Ogun State has undoubtedly lost one of
its esteemed icons, who served the nation with selfless passion. Her
achievements are not only exemplary but also inspirational.
