'Nobody is too big to be voted out’ – El-Rufai’s
son passes subtle message to Tinubu
Bashir Elrufai, son of the ex-governor of Kaduna state has passed a subtle message to President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
Bashir, whose indistinct message relates to President Tinubu's reelection come 2027 is quoted via his X handle as saying; that nobody is too big to be voted out of office by Nigerians and that the acclaimed strategist can only succeed in Lagos.
He also chided the IMF and the World Bank as key interest groups in Nigeria's election but would not be successful in reinforcing their choice in 2027.
The post reads, "Nobody is too big to be elected out of office by the people. It will happen & wallahi nothing will happen. So, forget all these intimidations flying up and down. Let us be patient.
"Even the IMF and World Bank no go saves una that time. Political strategist una. That one is for Lagos.
In a subsequent post, without referencing his targets, he hinted at his message, only revealing that his targets would feel implicated.
He further remarked that neither would he nor anybody be coerced into reelecting what he described as an utter failure of governance and dangerous ethnocentric political strategy.
"I didn't call names o, but due to their guilt, they already know who is being spoken about. Wallahi none of you will force anyone to support this utter failure of governance as a useless, dangerous, ethnocentric political strategy."
Remember that Nasir El-Rufai whose ministerial nomination failed to get the nod of the senate has in recent weeks been entangled in a legal battle in Kaduna state headed by his supported successor, Umar Sanni over an alleged misappropriation of N432 billion during his tenure as governor of Kaduna state.
